Wayzata Marine Staff

Dave grew up in the boating business and officially took the helm at Wayzata Marine in 2001, purchasing the company from his father. A lifelong boating enthusiast, he recently moved to Lake Minnetonka, where he’s able to fully embrace life on the water. He enjoys taking his wife, their two children, and their newest family member—his granddaughter—out on the lake whenever they’re home visiting, often with the family’s Alaskan Klee Kai, Aurora, in tow. Dave is also an active member of Lafayette Club, where he enjoys playing pickleball and paddle tennis. On summer days, you’ll often find him boating to local lake favorites like Lord Fletcher’s and Maynards, combining his love for boating, community, and good company.

Bob joined the company in 2002 and was promoted to General Manager in 2012. Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, he’s a dedicated Philadelphia sports fan. Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with his two children—his daughter is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and his son is in high school.

Brandon came on board as a Bookkeeper in early 2024, bringing with him valuable accounting experience from the auto dealership world. His passion for the boating industry makes him a natural fit for the team. Outside of work, Brandon enjoys spending time on the lake, golfing, playing volleyball, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.

Rob joined the company in 2007 and has been a dedicated part of the team ever since. He lives near Delano, Minnesota with his wife, their two kids, and a bunny named Peter. Rob enjoys playing hockey and spending time boating with his family on Lake Minnetonka—though Peter the rabbit prefers to stay dry.

Curt has been with Wayzata Marine since 2018, bringing a customer-first mindset to every interaction. He takes pride in helping people find the right boat for how they want to spend time on the water—whether that’s relaxing with family, fishing, or chasing adventure. A lifelong boating enthusiast, Curt purchased his very first boat from company owner Dave Briggs back in 1994—proof that his connection to Wayzata Marine runs deep.

Born and raised in Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay area, Chris brings a lifelong connection to the water. A former member of the Coast Guard, current member of Auxiliary, he joined Wayzata Marine in 2007 as a mechanic and transitioned into his current role as Parts and Warranty Administrator in 2020. Chris has been part of the Lake Minnetonka community since moving to the area in 2007 and continues to enjoy everything lake life has to offer.

Mikkee has been a key member of the Wayzata Marine team since 2005. He wears many hats and keeps operations running smoothly with his trademark efficiency and dedication. Known for his ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at once, Mikkee is truly indispensable to the team. Outside of work, he enjoys attending car shows, golfing, boating, and traveling—especially to Southwest Florida. He’s also a movie buff, with Back to the Future topping his list of favorite
