Storage and Winterization
Wayzata Marine professionals will provide you with first class, worry-free winterization and storage during the off-season. We conveniently offer both inside and outside storage, and can accommodate boats from 15-45 feet. With 42 years of experience, you can trust that we know exactly how to take care of the boats we sell, and we’ll go the extra mile to help you protect your investment with proper maintenance and service schedules. We use only factory approved fluids and parts, and highly promote the use of biodegradable products. Our winterization process is fully guaranteed. Previous to storage, your boat will be thoroughly wiped down and vacuumed. Over the winter, we’ll go through a complete checklist, and recommend any maintenance needed to prepare your boat for the next season. We offer free pickup and delivery service if your boat is on Lake Minnetonka.
Our winterization services include:
- Change engine oil and filter
- Change Lower unit lube
- Change water separating fuel filter
- Stabilize fuel
- Drain water from engine
- Fog engine block
- Flush engine with antifreeze
- Grease external fittings
- Draining coolers for transmissions, power steering, fuel
- Summerize engine replacing drain plugs in engine so you are ready to go in spring
- Remove hull plug
- Check fluid levels
